St. Mark's Lutheran School
(opens in a new tab)St. Mark's Lutheran School and Early Childhood is located in Eureka, Missouri. We serve children from 6 weeks to 8th grade. We equip children for service to God, family, & community through the study of God's Word and academics.
Red, White, and Routed in Christ!St. Mark's families and friends decked themselves out in red, white, and blue to walk in Eureka's "Red, White, and Route 66" parade. The theme chosen by the city gave them an opportunity to celebrate 100 years of Route 66, 250 years of the United States of America, and most importantly, their school year theme: Rooted in Christ. To add to the already great list of details, they got to showcase Lutheran Elementary School Association's "Teacher of the Year" and Emerson Excellence in Education recipient, Mrs. Lisa Lockwood, with all the fine people of Eureka. She's a great example of the academic success, leadership, and love of Christ that echo throughout the halls every day. Congratulations, Mrs. Lockwood, and thanks to all the families who showed up to share in the parade fun.
Congratulations, MRS. LOCKWOOD! The Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA) provides resources and professional develpment for the 500+ Lutheran teachers in the St. Louis area. St. Mark's very own Lisa Lockwood was chosen to be LESA's Teacher of the Year for 2026-2027. Laura Montgomery, LESA's Director of Educational Resources, came to Wednesday's chapel to make the announcement and presentation. Students enjoyed a special snack after the service, and Lisa will be recognized at the LESA Dinner Auction in March. What a blessing to have Lisa using her God-given gifts and talents at St. Mark's. In typical, humble "Mrs. Lockwood" fashion, she shed some tears, gave out a lot of hugs, and went right back into the classroom to continue pour God's love and her academic wisdom into her students.
Even though the sun was hot, the SON brought joy to families at worship and the annual church/school picnic at Kircher Park on Sunday.
