Congregational Survey

Dear Church Family,

As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, we are sending out a security questionnaire to our congregation. This is not in response to any immediate concern, but rather a proactive step to ensure we are prepared, informed, and equipped to protect our church community. Your input will help us identify potential areas for improvement, strengthen our safety measures, and ensure that our facilities and gatherings remain a place of peace, worship, and fellowship. We deeply value your participation and honesty, as your feedback is essential in helping us care for one another in both spiritual and practical ways.

The survey will be open from now till Sunday, May 3.

1. How safe do you currently feel during worship services and church activities?
2. How concerned are you about potential security threats at our church (such as break-ins, disruptive individuals, or emergencies)?
3. Which areas of church security do you believe need the most attention?
4. How supportive would you be of the church implementing a formal security plan?
5. What level of visible security presence do you feel is appropriate during services?
6. Should St. Mark's provide additional training for staff and volunteers (such as emergency response, de-escalation, or first aid)?
7. How comfortable are you with the idea of trained, approved members carrying concealed firearms as part of a safety team?
8. How important is improved building security (locks, cameras, controlled access) to you?
9. Would you be willing to volunteer for a safety or emergency-response team if needed?
If you answered Yes or Maybe to question #9 please provide your contact information.
