Prayer

Confessing Our Sin and Being Assured of Forgiveness
Pastor: Children of God, let us ask our Father to forgive us our sins, because Jesus is our Lord, and has died and risen again for us.

ALL: Lord God, our heavenly Father, we confess to You that we are sinful. And we have sinned against You in many ways, in our thoughts and in our words, in what we have done, and in what we have failed to do. Have mercy and forgive us. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, help us to obey You, keep us from all evil, and bring us to eternal Life. We ask this through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Pastor: God has had mercy on us, He loves us, and has given His Son to die for our sin. So, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, I assure you all your sins are forgiven in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Peace be with you!

ALL: Amen.

In Whom Do We Believe? The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayers Of The Day

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
