Eureka Days Parade

Saturday, September 26

All families of St. Mark’s church and school are invited to participate in the “Red, White & Route 66” Eureka Days Parade on Saturday, September 26. Participants will meet at the St. Mark’s Routed In Christ sign around 10:45 a.m. Lauren Bates will share the exact street location closer to the event. Together, parents and children will pass out candy to the crowd, please note that all children must walk alongside a parent. Families are encouraged to wear red, white, or blue to match the patriotic theme. Each student will receive a special St. Mark’s Routed in Christ hat to wear during the parade, as well as a treat bag at the very end. Candy will be provided to throw, but you are welcome to bring your own stash, and wagons and strollers are welcome.

Our Pre-K class has been learning about colors. We have learned that red and blue make purple, yellow and red make orange, and blue and yellow make green. We have also learned that you can get a lighter color by adding white and a darker color by adding black. We ended our color unit by turning our tables upside down and wrapping Saran Wrap around the legs so we could explore by painting on Saran Wrap. We had a lot of fun!! ...
