Confession Of Sin and Assurance of Forgiveness
Pastor: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16
ALL: Almighty God, we humbly confess that we have forgotten You and Your role in our lives and we have lived as if you didn’t matter. Lord in Your mercy, forgive us!
Pastor: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
ALL: We have failed to recognize that we were chosen by You before our birth to be Your disciples and Your disciple-makers in word and action. Lord, in Your mercy, forgive us!
Pastor: “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
ALL: We have also failed to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and have failed to help them in their time of need. Lord, in Your mercy, forgive us!
Pastor: “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,” Ephesians 2:1
ALL: We have followed our own desires and have not lived according to Your design for us. Please forgive us for the sake of Jesus, who died and rose again for our forgiveness!
Pastor: "Listen to Me, … you who have been borne by Me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs, I will carry you. I have made and I will bear; I will carry and will save." Isaiah 46:3-4 All your sins are forgiven in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!
ALL: Amen! Thanks be to God!

What I Believe
Explanation to the First Article of The Apostles’ Creed
I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that he has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them.  He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, spouse and children, land, animals, and all I have.  He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.  He defends me against all danger and guards and protects me from all evil.  All this he does only out of fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me.  For all this it is my duty to thank and praise, serve and obey him.  This is most certainly true.

Prayers of the Day

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
