Opening Prayer

Opening Song
"Majestic"

Confession of Sin
All:  O Almighty God, Merciful Father, I, a poor sinner plead guilty of all sins before You.  I have lived as if You did not matter and as if I mattered .  I have not honored Your name as I should; my worship and prayers have faltered.  I have not let Your love have its way with me, and so my love for others has failed.  There are those whom I have hurt, and those whom I have failed to help.  My thoughts and desires have been soiled with sin.  I am sorry for all of this and ask for grace and forgiveness.  I want to do better.  In Jesus name.  Amen.

Assurance of Forgiveness
Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins.  As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen

Songs of Praise
"Because He Lives"
"Overwhelmed"

First Reading
Deuteronomy 30:15-20
15  See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16  For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. 17  But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18  I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 19  This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20  and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Sermon Scripture Reading
1 Corinthians 3:1-9
1  Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly--mere infants in Christ. 2  I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3  You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 4  For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men? 5  What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6  I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7  So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8  The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. 9  For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.

In Whom Do We Believe? Explanation the First Article of The Apostles' Creed
I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that he has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them.  He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, spouse and children, land, animals, and all I have.  He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.  He defends me against all danger and guards and protects me from all evil.  All this he does only out of fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me.  For all this it is my duty to thank and praise, serve and obey him.  This is most certainly true.

Prayers Of The Day

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.  Amen.
